A massive fire that engulfed a home in Stamford and left dozens displaced has been ruled accidental.
Multiple fire crews responded to the blaze Monday night around 5 p.m. on Alden Street.
Investigators say the fire started on the rear porch of the house and spread to two multifamily homes and damaged a third.
An extension cord and power strip were found in a room on the porch during the investigation.
The home suffered extensive damage and according to officials, it will likely be completely demolished.
Officials say seven people were injured, and over 30 displaced in the fire.
