Hundreds of people stopped by Sandy Hook Elementary School on Sunday to pay their respects to the victims of Friday's mass shooting.

Those who dropped by brought stuffed animals and signs, among other things, to add to the memorial that has nearly doubled in size over the weekend. There is also a line of Christmas trees, each with at least one victim's name on it. Many of the visitors were overcome with emotion at the site.

Police say Adam Lanza repeatedly shot his mother, Nancy, before opening fire at the elementary school on Friday, killing 20 children and 6 adults. Each of the children killed were between the ages of 6 and 7.
