Veterans, families and community members gathered Sunday for a wreath-laying ceremony to honor fallen servicemen and servicewomen.
Area service groups laid wreaths around a memorial in front of Milford City Hall and then marched to the green and placed wreaths at four veteran monuments.
Organizers say it's important to show gratitude for people who died defending the country.
