A memorial service will take place on Tuesday in East Hartford to honor K-9 officer Broko who was killed in the line of duty last December.

Connecticut State Police were serving Vaughn Malloy with an arrest warrant in Stonington when the deadly shooting happened.

Officers said when they arrived, Malloy refused to surrender and eventually opened fire killing Broko. Malloy was subsequently shot and killed.

The final farewell will be held at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. It is not open to the public.

The service will be livestreamed on the Connecticut State Police Facebook page at 10 a.m.
