Family and friends are paying their respects to the South Salem couple killed in a plane crash in Westchester County last month.
Dozens came out Wednesday night to say their final goodbyes to Val and Taew Horsa.
The couple was headed to Danbury Airport in their small-engine plane on Nov. 19 when it crashed into a reservoir about 8 miles away in North Salem.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
Many community members say they knew the Horsas through their Thai restaurant, Bangkok, located in Danbury. The two owned the restaurant for nearly 30 years.
Others say they knew the couple because of their close-knit family. The couple leaves behind Val's son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
A phone recording at Bangkok restaurant states it will reopen next month and thanks its customers for being patient with them through this difficult time.
