A Bridgeport church is inviting the public to an event this weekend during Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Organizers say the conference at Church of Christ centers around the idea that mental health is tied to faith and spirituality.

"We will be discussing different issues around mental, we'll have a licensed therapist, and author Kevin Bethea coming up from Baltimore, Maryland to do sessions for families, parents, married couples, single people to help them get some mental health preparation and even some strength for the upcoming summer," said Kirk Wesley, with the Church of Christ.

The event will be held at 15 Dewey St. at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
