Gov. Dannel Malloy says ridership on Metro-North hit a record-high.
Malloy says the railroad reached a record 39.6 million passenger trips last year.
Metro-North says that is more than 1.5 percent higher than in 2013.
The governor says the data demonstrates the state's need to focus on a continued commitment to its transportation system.
