A Metro-North train collided with a snowplow and sand truck in Stamford Sunday.
The accident happened at the River Bend crossing on the New Canaan branch of the New Haven line around 9:30 a.m.
An MTA employee tells News 12 Connecticut that the train was doing a test run when it collided with the plow.
The snowplow driver was trying to clear snow on River Bend crossing, which is a private road, when the snow made it difficult to see where the road ended and the train track began.
According to the MTA employee, the snowplow driver fell into a ditch, but was able to get out of the vehicle in time.
River Bend crossing is considered one of New Haven's most dangerous crossings.
Officials say the train was empty at the time of the collision and that the plow driver is OK.
