A union representing 600 Metro-North workers could soon derail the daily commute for thousands of riders.
Members of the Transportation Workers Union are responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and fixing the trains. They have reportedly been handing out flyers at Union Station in New Haven and at Grand Central, threatening a strike.
Two local chapters of the union reportedly voted to authorize a strike as early as next month, but an MTA spokesman recently told the Daily News that there is no threat of a strike.
