A youth football team from Milford is enjoying the thrill of victory and has the chance to claim a national championship.
The Milford Eagles Junior Pee Wee team already won the Southern Connecticut Pop Warner title.
This weekend, the Eagles topped that win with the New England Pee Wee Pop Warner title. They beat the Portsmouth Patriots 35-34 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island on Sunday to win the regional championship game.
With that win, the boys will leave Friday for a shot at the national crown in the 58th Annual Pop Warner Super Bowl in Orlando, Florida.
The team says they are ready to go and that they hope to bring home the championship.
