Milford is getting some much needed money to help prepare for future storms.
The state has given the city $2.5 million for several community projects.
The bulk of the money, more than $1.3 million, will be going to the Bayview Beach area drainage system.
The state has $30 million in grants set aside for restoration after Hurricane Sandy.
