The city of Milford held a drill Tuesday to prepare for a possible health emergency amid reports of three more swine flu cases in the state.
The drill, which was hosted at the Milford Senior Center, simulated an anthrax incident, but officials say they would be ready to hand out Tamiflu if there is a swine flu pandemic.
If the situation were to happen, each city department head would enter the specified room, sign in, pick up paperwork and then medicine for their entire department. The entire process took each official about four minutes.
City workers and their families would get immediate treatment. High schools would then be set up for the general public to receive treatment.
Officials say the drill was simply part of the city's effort to stay on top of health emergencies.
