Milford residents say they're upset after the city's Planning and Zoning Board members approved a site plan for a medical marijuana dispensary Tuesday.
The decision comes just days after Mayor Ben Blake asked the state to review its approval of the dispensary, a request the state rebuffed.
City officials also discussed changing the zoning regulations for medical marijuana dispensaries. The current policy states the dispensaries cannot be within 300 feet of a school.
Under the proposed zoning change, state dispensaries cannot be within 1,000 feet of a school, church, residential area or place frequented by children.
Officials say the change would not affect current applications because, according to a state statute, those are exempt from future changes in zoning regulations.
