The 28th annual Milford Oktoberfest weekend has been cut short due to the anticipated tropical storm, but organizers fit two nights of festivities into one Friday night.

Oktoberfest is a celebration of German culture and beer, but it’s also a major fundraiser for the Devon Rotary.

The rotary supports local endeavors like the Beth-El Center, animal hospital, scholarships and more.

The event is entirely volunteer-driven, who had to scramble due to Saturday’s weather report, but still put together a full day’s lineup over at Fowler Field.
