Milford's long-awaited dog park officially opened to the public today.
The park is located at the northwest of Eisenhower Park, with access from West River Street.
Milford officials say this addition is exciting for the city.
"This is a place to kinda bring them together -- where you can let them off the leash, as long as they are licensed, as long as they are well-behaved-- and have a good time, to socialize with other dogs. It's important for humans, It's important for our four-legged friend as well," says Mayor Ben Blake.
Organizers say the dog park will be open every day from dawn until dusk.
