Some Milford students say they heard rumors about a substitute teacher having sex with one of her students and police confirmed Monday they are investigating the allegations.
School administrators at Jonathan Law High School notified police several months ago that they believed a teacher was having a sexual relationship with a student. Parents and students are shocked at the allegations.
Police say the accused teacher is 21 years old and the student is 18. Despite the fact that both are consenting adults, it is against the law in Connecticut for a teacher to have a relationship with a student.
School leaders did not notify parents of the police probe. They also refused to comment on the investigation, calling the situation a ?personnel matter.? Meanwhile, the accused teacher is no longer working at the school.
