A negligence lawsuit was filed against the Milford educational institution on Thursday naming its superintendent Gregory Firn, the City of Milford as well as the Board of Education as defendants in the suit.

The suit claims Firn ignored the fact that a 16 ?year-old-student was being sexually abused, exploited and molested by the school?s youth basketball coach Robert Dulin. Firn is also being accused of knowing of the affair back in 2003. However, Firn claimed that he had no such knowledge when he wrote Dulin a letter of recommendation in September of 2005.

The suit also alleges that other school administrators also were negligent and should be held accountable.

The plaintiff?s attorney insists that the system failed. He says that his client believes it is important that the truth of the matter be brought through.
