Millennial Mom Money Magnet Shnedine Michel on Saturday hosted her third annual back-to-school initiative in Stamford.

The event was held at the Ferguson Library and had a live DJ, kids activities, school supplies and lots of backpack giveaways.

Michel, the CEO of the organization, told News 12 this is a passion project for her. She acknowledged her two daughters inspired her to begin this initiative to serve children.

"The purpose of this event is to really give back to the community and to really pour into our children as they go back into the school year,” Michel said.

Michel’s goal was to serve more than 500 students.
