A Bridgeport minor has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly shot and killed a 16-year-old boy in Bridgeport last week.
Nigel Powell was with several other teens when a gun went off, killing him inside a home on Valley Avenue Oct 11, according to investigators.
Police say another 16-year-old turned himself in to face manslaughter charges.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, no details about the incident, including where the teen got the gun, are being released.
However, police describe the shooting as an "isolated" incident, and say the case is now closed.
