yesterdayAn 86-year-old Monroe man has been charged with 19 counts of sexual assault against a child, police say.
Fernando Cachina was arrested after detectives received a report in April of a child sexual abuse case.
The investigation found that the abuse of a minor allegedly took place over five years at Cachina's Hattertown Road home.
He is being held on $175,000 bond and is expected to be arraigned on Nov 24.
