Monroe is mourning its town attorney who unexpectedly died.

Jeremy Hayden served that role for almost two years.

Hayden also was on the Planning and Zoning Commission and Inland Wetlands Commission.

He graduated from Newtown High School in 1996, got his undergraduate degree from UCONN and then earned a law degree from Quinnipiac University.

He was 41 years old. There is no word on his cause of death.
