The hockey arena at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport has been transformed into a mud put for
Monster Jam for the weekend. The show features racing, high-flying freestyle skills competitions and wheelie challenges. Grave Digger and new trucks like ThunderROARus are among the trucks competing. "This actually debuted this season. Its mouth actually opens, the eyes, they actually glow. This is actually a World Finals truck as well. This will be his first time in Bridgeport since that huge win," said Lindsey Noble, Monster Jam pit reporter. Krysten Anderson is one of two female competitors in this weekend's shows. She is also carrying on the legacy of Grave Digger, the signature monster truck that has thrilled millions over 42 years. "This is going to be our 20th year coming back to Bridgeport, so we've got some older fans, we've got some new younger fans. I'm sure some of the fans that are coming this weekend probably remember seeing my dad, Dennis Anderson, drive Grave Digger, and now you're bringing your kids to come see his kids drive Grave Digger. It's really cool that we have that special connection with our fans," said Anderson.
