More than 100 employees from Stratford-based Sikorsky Aircraft are looking for a new job.
Sikorsky's parent company Lockheed Martin says 150 layoffs, which were announced earlier this year, took effect yesterday.
They say 109 of those positions are in Connecticut.
Lockheed Martin says it made the cuts from Sikorsky's Rotary and Mission Systems division in order to stay competitive in the marketplace.
