Mosquitoes test positive for EEE virus in 6 Connecticut towns

There are now six towns in Connecticut with mosquitoes that have tested positive for eastern equine encephalitis virus.
EEE is the most severe mosquito-transmitted disease in the U.S., with four to eight cases reported in a typical year.
The towns currently affected are: Hampton, Killingly, Thompson, Tolland, Voluntown, and Woodstock.
