National Guard medics to help Goshen nursing home facing staff shortage
The New York National Guard sent medics to help with severe staffing shortages at the Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen.
Six guardsmen arrived Monday and will double as certified nursing assistants at the county-owned facility to reopen units and increase admissions.
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Wednesday that 60 National Guard medical teams would be deployed statewide to facilities experiencing staffing shortages.
