The country is less than two months away from an historic election, yet there is still time to get ballot affairs in order as Tuesday marks National Voter Registration Day.
Connecticut residents can register to vote at myvote.ct.gov/register, or update their registration.
If voting by absentee ballot, residents must fill out an application to do so. This year voters can cite "COVID-19" as the reason for requesting one.
Applications should be mailed to your town clerk's office.
Absentee ballots will then be mailed out starting Oct. 2. You can mail it to the town clerk's office, hand deliver it, or drop it off at the ballot drop box at town hall. It needs to be received by the close of the polls at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.
