A retired U.S. Navy SEAL was able to have some fun with other seals: those at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. 

Ret. Capt. Peter Wikul, of Ridgefield, participated in the seal feedings and trainings.

Wikul retired in 2009 after serving for 39 years and earning the title "Bullfrog 13," which is given to longest-serving active duty SEAL at the time.

Between demonstrations, Wikul was able to talk with aquarium guests about the Navy and his experiences as a SEAL.

"It's an honorable thing to do and someone's got to serve. Some of these young children are going to grow up, and some of them are going to serve," he says. "We need them to do that. That's what today is all about. It's about honoring those who have served and are serving our nation."

In the 1980s, one of the aquarium's seals was trained by the Navy to recover objects from the sea floor.
