The nonprofit is the only food pantry in town, and offers a program where clients can shop once week for food at its location on East Putnam Avenue.
In addition, it also gives out supplemental food, at least three meals a day per individual per household.
The nonprofit provides people with food, household essentials and personal care items that are not covered by SNAP benefits.
Executive director K. Brent Hill says it currently serves over 800 households and over 2,000 people.
Hill tells News 12 that people are not aware of the need in town and despite the notion that Greenwich is a very wealthy town, 20% of the population is considered impoverished.
"We see that our families are really impacted. They are able to have a dignified space to come in to provide for their families. We give them nutritious meals and the personal care items they need. And unfortunately a lot of people work everyday but unfortunately they can't sustained themselves adequately," he says.
