Southport residents are fighting a proposal to build a pharmacy near their neighborhood.
Developers say they want to move the Walgreens currently on Post Road less than a mile away and in sight of residents on Kings Highway West.
Neighbors say a big-name pharmacy will ruin their tight-knit community. They also have safety and traffic concerns due to the number of families with children and pets who live on the road.
Developers say they have made adjustments to their moving plans to address the neighborhood concerns over safety and traffic.
