Six democrats in the House of Representatives sided with Republicans to pass the concealed carry permit bill.
The six didn't decide the fate of the bill, but only made the final tally more lopsided.
The bill passed 231 to 198.
It calls for permit holders to legally carry their guns across state lines.
The bill now heads to the senate.
Congressman Jim Himes was one of the many Democrats to oppose the Concealed Carry Act.
He later put out a statement saying, “After the terrible mass shootings that our country has endured, along with the daily, gruesome toll taken by gun violence, the only sane approach would be to pass commonsense gun-safety reform."
