New Canaan Town Hall was buzzing with activity Saturday for a dedication ceremony of the newly renovated building.
Officials say a restoration project was launched several years ago to update Town Hall, which was built in 1909. The new building allows offices for all government departments to be under the same roof.
First Selectman Rob Mallozzi says that all of the hard work was well worth it.
"It just took a long time to get people in the right frame of mind," he said. "It was a major endeavor. It entailed closing down our Town Hall physically, but we are really proud of the end result."
Mallozzi says the new Town Hall also allows residents to get better customer service.
