New details have emerged about Adam Lanza, the alleged gunman in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Friday.

The 20-year-old is believed to have killed 26 people at the school.

Investigators say Lanza used his mother's weapons in the attack.

Officials report they are visiting local gun ranges to determine whether or not he had ever trained with the guns before the attack.

Police say they doing everything they can to determine the motive.

State police have said that Lanza used two handguns, as well as an assault rifle in the attack.

A shotgun was also found in the car Lanza drove to the school.
