New Haven man pleads guilty to murder of Yale graduate student in 2021

Connecticut state officials say 32-year-old Qinxuan Pan, of New Haven, pleaded guilty to the murder of a Yale graduate student in 2021.

Officials said Pan is facing 35 years in prison.

He was charged with the deadly shooting of student Kevin Jiang, on Feb. 6, 2021.

Police said after an extensive three-month search in multiple states, Pan was arrested in Alabama and extradited back to Connecticut.

Pan is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25.
