A New Haven smoke shop has permanently closed following repeated violations of Connecticut’s cannabis laws, Attorney General William Tong announced Tuesday.

Tong first sued Anesthesia Smoke and Convenience in 2024 after investigators observed thousands of cannabis products being sold multiple times without the necessary license.

Tong says the store continued to sell the illegal items even after his office sued the business.

The shop's owner will have to pay a $100,00 penalty and is banned from conducting business in the state.
