A new law requiring passengers in the back seat to wear seat belts in cars will go into effect Friday.
Everyone in the car, regardless of age, will be required to wear a seat belt under the new law.
Previously, adult passengers in the back seat were not required to wear a seat belt.
Officials say tickets will be issued if passengers in the back seat are not wearing seat belts and the driver is pulled over for any other offense.
