The Bridgeport Child and Family Guidance Center opened two new visitation rooms designed to provide a warm, home-like environment for families in the foster care system.
The additions were a gift from the Southport interior design firm Moss Design.
The rooms will hold supervised visits for families working towards reunification.
“These rooms will make the visits so much more comfortable for the families and the children," said Child and Family Guidance Center staffer Shari Konn.
The nonprofit said the rooms will also be used for clients who are receiving mental health services.
Nonprofit officials thanked Moss Design for being passionate about mental health services and stepping up to give back to the community.
