And today News 12 is doing a backpack giveaway in Morrisania. Our News 12's Musa Santorelli is standing by there with a look at what's going on there. Marissa, how's it going? I mean, Nadia, there are still so many people here. Everybody lining up. We got our friends over here, Noel and Hope still giving out backpacks. It's been such an exciting morning, but I do have to mention two lovely kids here that got backpacks this morning. We are here welcomed by Takai and Delilah. Takai and Delilah, it is so exciting to have you guys here today. Now I wanna ask, what grades are you guys going into? Um, 2nd, 5th grade. OK, so we have almost a 2nd grade here and almost a 5th grader. So if you can, can you guys show me those backpacks you got today? Really cool. I want you guys to open them up. I want you to show everybody just what you got inside, all right? Can you tell me what you got today? Um, I got a water bottle. Chips and a and a ruler and a book and a comic book, right? So what about you, mama? I got chips, more chips, a pencil case. M Um, a, uh, yeah, a comic book. A water bow. It is, it is like it just keeps going. There's just so much more in these bags. All right, so I have to ask you guys, oh, there's more, what are those? Um, highlighters, pencils, and this toy. And I just got so much. OK, I have to ask you guys, what was your favorite part of the day so far? You've been here for a little while. You got some goodies, you got some ice cream. What was your favorite part so far? We got a lot of free stuff. We had chips, books, pencils, erasers and popcorn. So all of it was your favorite. What about you, Delilah? Favorite part was how we get um free supplies for school and how the um ice cream is free and snacks and stuff like that so I'm grateful thank you. You're so sweet so I gotta ask, I think you're you're prepared for 5th grade, right? Yeah, we're gonna be here in Morris. If you're in the area, come on down. supplies all donated to us right here on News 12. I mean we're gonna be here for a couple of hours I think. Look at all the supplies all left to give away. All right guys, we'll send it back to you in the studio. All right, I see Noel and hope they're having a good time and I'm, I'm with the kid. The ice cream is probably the best part, but of course school supplies are expensive so so glad to see so many people that are having a good time. Marissa, thank you.
