Newtown police say the 17-year-old who was pulled from the water near the Glen Road Silver Bridge has died.

A Bridgeport teen has died after being pulled from the water under a bridge in Newtown.
Newtown police say the 17-year-old was with a group at the time of the incident. They say it happened just before 2 p.m. Thursday near the Glen Road Silver Bridge by the Southbury line.
Police responded to a 911 call and found that the teen had not resurfaced from the water.
The teen was transported to Danbury Hospital where he died from his injuries.
