An evergreen tree from southwestern Connecticut will soon be standing very tall in New York City?s Rockefeller Center.
Lumberjacks cut down the 88-foot tall Norway spruce Thursday at a home on Peaceable Hill Road in Ridgefield. A trailer will now carry the nine-ton tree the city, where it will be erected and decorated to usher in the holiday season.
The lighting at Rockefeller Center is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29.
