Six UConn students charged with alcohol crimes related to the death of a fellow student last fall will not get jail time.
This past week, a judge granted the six men accelerated rehabilitation, which is a special form of probation that allows them to avoid jail time and have their records wiped if they complete the program.
As News 12 reported, 19-year-old Jeffny Pally was killed when a fire department vehicle accidentally hit her.
Police say Pally drank alcohol at a party and fell asleep in front of the campus fire department.
The vehicle that hit her was responding to something that turned out to be a false alarm.
