A Bridgeport landlord accused of negligent homicide in the deaths of four tenants in an apartment fire will not be serving prison time.
A judge sentenced Hai Pham to three years probation and 500 hours of community service. The judge believes living with the consequences of the tragedy is far more severe than any sentence the court could impose.

Their father survived.Fire officials say the family members would have survived if Pham had working smoke detectors. That is the message the judge wants Pham to spread through her community service.
