Hundreds of people from across the United States took part in a forum Saturday and Sunday in Stamford, which offered financial counseling and mortgage assistance.
The event, which was coordinated by the nonprofit Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, gave those Americans whose homes have been foreclosed and who have lost their jobs an opportunity to get information and speak their minds. Organizers say one goal of the tour was to meet the CEOs of companies they blame for the foreclosure epidemic.
Bruce Marks, of the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, says a group of people angry about the mortgage mess visited the homes of several loan executivesSunday, including Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack.
Organizers say more than 1,500 people signed up in advance and hundreds more arrived as walk-ins for the counseling sessions.
