With the rising cost of eggs, Frances Mercede, the owner of Forever Sweet Bakery in Norwalk, says he is looking for a way to help out those in need.
"Our good friends and supplier Wades Dairy from Bridgeport have given us 30 dozen eggs that we will give out to those in need today and tomorrow," Mercede says.
Forever Sweet Bakery will give up to 45 customers a dozen eggs each starting today and tomorrow.
Mercede says all customers have to do is purchase either a cupcake or a cookie from the bakery.
He says proceeds from the sale will go to the Malta House, a women's shelter in Norwalk.
