A disabled senior is thanking a local business owner for coming to her rescue.
Rosemary Stancill, 76, of Bridgeport, says she's grateful to Kevin Finn for helping her come up with a plan to get to her second-floor apartment.
Finn owns Accessible Answers in Norwalk, which installs access devices for the disabled.
A News 12 Connecticut viewer recently donated a chairlift for Stancill, but Finn says it won't work in her house because her staircase is curved.
So he started a fundraiser to purchase a custom chairlift.
"I have to credit my dad.  He would help anybody,” said Finn.  “And for me I kind of took some of that from him. I decided to create a business around helping people who need it the most."
Finn says if somebody wants the other chairlift that didn't work in Stancill's house, he'll install that one for free.
