The Norwalk High School marching band walked away with top honors at a national competition last weekend.
U.S. Rep. Jim Himes stopped by the band's rehearsal Monday to congratulate them on taking first place at the Musical Arts Conference national championships.
The competition was held at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey.
The band has another big performance in February. That is when it will perform in a parade at Disney World.
