Norwalk Public Schools and the Norwalk Association of School Administrators released a joint statement on Monday to announce that Medard Thomas will return to his position as principal of the Concord Magnet School.

This comes after Thomas was placed on administrative leave late last year. Parents and students held a rally in February to protest his absence – they even started a petition to get him back.

When Thomas was placed on leave, News 12 reached out to the school asking for a statement but the district said it couldn’t comment on the matter.

Thomas will officially be back on Thursday.
