Police say a Norwalk man is facing multiple charges this afternoon after authorities found him in possession of a significant amount of drugs.
Norwalk police say they received a call Monday around 8:15 p.m. about a suspicious vehicle parked on Platt Street. They say when they arrived on the scene, they found three men sitting in a car filled with marijuana smoke.
Authorities say they arrested the driver, Gurminder Singh, because of the loose painkillers they found in the vehicle. They say once Singh was brought to the police station, they found a lot more.
Sgt. Terry Blake, of the Norwalk Police Department, says Singh became combative in the booking cell due to the fact that he had concealed narcotics and 13 bags of heroin down his pants.
Police say Singh was also in possession of some codeine cough syrup and a bag of cocaine. They say the other two men in the vehicle were issued infractions for possessing marijuana and trespassing.
