Two
probationary police officers
have resigned after just one day on the job in Norwalk after information
regarding their past in Bridgeport came to light.
Officials say one of the officers was on the scene
during a police-involved shooting, but cleared of any wrongdoing. The other was
hit with a civil lawsuit for excessive force following a now-infamous community
meeting at Success Village.
Norwalk stopped short of accusing the officers of
misrepresenting themselves, saying each went through the standard hiring
process including polygraph tests.
