A weekend event in Norwalk aimed to clean up the city streets one gun at a time.
The Norwalk Police Department hosted its second annual gun buyback program on Saturday.
Residents were able to exchange any unwelcome firearms for a gift card.
Police say the goal of the program is to have fewer guns available to be used for nefarious purposes. 
Police say that 20 firearms were brought in during the event.
