Police say the man found floating in the Five Mile River in Norwalk has been identified.
Officials say 45-year-old Edward Lee Denson was discovered Saturday afternoon by a local father and son.
Norwalk firefighters say they were able to get Denson's heart beating after he had been in the cold water for 20 minutes.
Unfortunately, they say he died shortly after at Norwalk Hospital, despite the attempts to resuscitate him.
Police in Greenwich say they've had several run-ins with Denson, including an incident in which he threatened to jump off the Mianus River Bridge.
